It is run by Irene Smith. Irene worked as a registered general nurse in Orthopaedic and Geriatric care. Having an interest in complimentary therapies she studied Shiatsu which led her to want to learn more. She is trained in Swedish Massage, Remedial and Sports Massage, the Bowen Technique, Bach Flower Therapy. Karen Bird is a Person-Centred Therapist whose journey into Counselling began at Motherwell College in 2002. She achieved the postgraduate Diploma in Person-Centred Therapy at Stirling University via Persona Training and Development in 2007. Karen gained counselling experience working in GP practice for 2½ years dealing with issues such as low self-esteem, stress, anxiety, depression; drug & alcohol abuse and bereavement & loss.
